DMX began rapping as early as the mid 1990s. In the month of May 1998, He released his first album, It's DARK and HOT. The album was followed by other releases including... Then Then There Was X and Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album titled...And It was X, was nominated by The Grammy award for Best Rap Album in 2001.
