Morgan appeared alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention and education. Some of the proceeds were given to American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is a member of the Entertainment Industry's AIDS Task Force. Morgan has been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives for the illness and has presented testimony before an Congressional Special Committee regarding AIDS Education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and on the Board of Governors of APLA. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to be his substitute during AIDS celebrations and she's presented an AIDS Awareness Special featuring anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have been on Nightline two times to talk about AIDS. Morgan has been nominated by the Emmys to be a part of Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially specifically for Morgan. In the spring, she starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began by presenting Murder At The PTA Luncheon, produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams as well appeared. Morgan then appeared in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady, which starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan played a part in the psychological thriller that was exclusively produced by the USA Network garnering one of the highest ratings ever recorded by the history of the network.
